Meet Dawn Price and Contributors

Dawn Price, Owner

Dawn Price, founder and publisher, was born in California but knew that once she found the East Coast, she was staying. She’s had a successful corporate career as a Certified Public Accountant and then attaining her Law degree, also in California. Eventually, moving to the private sector once relocating to Virginia, she wanted to own her own business and eventually landed in the baby business. She started her baby retail business in 2004 and has never looked back! Ever expanding and looking at new avenues, Dawn wanted to share the knowledge that she and her staff have accumulated.

When not at work, Dawn can be happily found at home with her husband, three kids, one dog and a neighborhood of amazing families.

Molly McMahon is the mother of three kids — two boys and a girl– who lives in Washington, DC.  Before leaving her job to stay home with her children, she worked in Corporate Communications at a major technology company.  Today, she is an active volunteer at her children’s schools, and works at SocialBuzzPR, a public relations firm focused on developing and executing social media strategies for a variety of clients.

Kyra DeBlaker-Gebhard was a college English instructor and part-time writer living in New Jersey when the prospect of living a new and exciting life in Washington, D.C. presented itself. Kyra walked away from her job as a teacher and with her new beau discovered all of the wonderful things the District has to offer. Six years later, Kyra is married to the wonderful guy she followed to DC, mother to their charming one-year old daughter, caretaker of a small army of cats and proud owner of an ever changing Capitol Hill home.
